Previously ran products at Verity, an early search engine that dominated the enterprise search market and early Web search before the days of Altavista, inktomi and later Google.
Also an investor/advisor to start-ups including LinkedIn, Wikia, SimplyHired, Flock, Dogster, Revision3, RealTravel, DanceJam, Owners’ Pass and Maya’sMom (acquired by BabyCenter/J&J) and serve on the board of Cloudmark, a leading anti-spam provider.
I am a Founder and Board Member of Full Circle Fund, a Bay Area non-profit that engages emerging business leaders in philanthropy through grants and hands-on assistance to innovative community organizations.
I grew up in Alberta, Canada. I got an undergrad degree in Electrical Engineering at U of A. I moved to the US originally for work, ended up going on to get a graduate degree in business at Stanford. I've always worked in high tech, and the Internet in particular since 95. I'm married, with two sons.
