.. I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; God desires us to choose the good life that He has designed for each and everyone of us, but many times we don't. We want to mix God good things with our own choices and that only spells disaster. If anyone desires the good life, the life of following Christ, not as in earthly good, but as in eternity good, he or she must, deny themselves, pick up their cross and follow Jesus. It's a choice, God is not going to make anyone following Him. But it comes with a price of always denying what our flesh wants us to have and saying, "God is this good for me", and when He say's "no", then we back off, deny ourselves and follow the Word of God. When He says "yes", we go forth in His blessings. So I am hoping that as you think about life you would choose the good life of eternal life that is found in Christ.
