Robert Cole is Vice President, Destination Experience for The Mark Travel Corporation. Robert is responsible for building strategic relationships with hotels, car rental companies, and attractions for all Mark Travel brands. Before joining Mark Travel, Robert was Vice President, Hotel & Car for Neat Group, a subsidiary of Cendant Travel Distribution Services. Neat developed dynamic packaging technologies for the travel industry. In addition to leading business development and account management, Robert was instrumental in the creation of several core technologies including "trigger-based" dynamic pricing, voucherless/tax inclusive car booking, and elastic geo-centric search processes. Prior to joining Neat, Robert was responsible for electronic distribution at Budget Group where he launched direct interfaces with priceline.com, Southwest Airlines and EuropCar. Robert also managed the hotel business for Sabre Group, with $2.7 billion in annual booking volume, implemented strategic joint ventures with JAL/AXESS and ABACUS and created the Hoteligence product. Before Sabre, Robert was Vice President, Business Development for Anasazi / Travel Resources, a hotel technology development and representation firm; served as Corporate Director of Marketing for Journey’s End Corporation; and Corporate Director of Marketing Planning for Four Seasons Hotels. Robert has served on the HEDNA board of directors, the OTA interoperability committee, the HITIS advisory committee, and as a partner representative for the Cornell Center for Hospitality Research. He has presented at travel industry conferences and lectured at Cornell University, the University of Houston, Queens University, and the University of Ottawa. Robert is also the founder of RockCheetah. RockCheetah is focused on developing next generation eCommerce processes, global content, integrated marketing, seamless distribution and management advisory services for the travel industry.
