Alright, let's try to figure out what to write here finally. Well, if you already know me, you're probably aware of the fact that I'm very passionate (some might say "obsessive") about music. There's nothing I'd rather be doing than going to a great concert. I love meeting other fans of the same bands as myself (and Our Lady Peace fans are by far the coolest as a group). I also like meeting the people who make the music that I love. But I'm no groupie. I simply like knowing the person who's music I'm listening to. The majority I've met thus far have been absolutely lovely people... and I have to admit, though the music (obviously) comes first and is what truly matters, if someone is amazingly nice, it makes me a bigger fan and I will go out of my way to support them. I'm also quite political, though I hate using the word "political". It's not actual politics that I care about, it's the world... almost everything that really matters is considered a "political" issue when it's truly a part of life that everyone should care about. The term politics only scares people away. That being said, I don't know everything about politics... I don't know most of the names of who's in office, I don't know much of how the government really works, I don't know probably 99.99% of what goes on in the world (who really does?), but I care greatly about the environment, health issues, human rights, animal rights, and anything else not involving corporate and personal greed (well, I guess I care about that, too, just in the other direction). I don't think I make a very good first impression; I think I probably come across as a bit of a giggly airhead (but I promise I'm not). I'm not very good with words. My mind tends to wander quite a bit while I'm doing just about anything. I smile at EVERYBODY, and I love it when people smile back. I like who I am and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I care deeply about my family and my friends, even when it seems they don't care at all about me. I'm a vegetarian because I love animals. I don't care about money. People think I'm a lot younger than I really am because of the way I look. I love watching people win on game shows. I miss my daddy more than anything in the world. I like to consider myself a "pessimistic optimist"; I expect the worst so I can always be pleasantly surprised by the outcome. I don't tend to talk about the issues that truly matter to me because my views seem to be completely different from everyone I've ever spoken to about them. I always look at things from the other person's perspective, rather than my own. I have insomnia, chronic back pain, and get the most random illnesses ever. I hate sports. I'm an atheist who believes in (and is fascinated by) ghosts. I am a huge geek. I have an appallingly bad memory, but I can tell you many bizarre random facts that nobody needs to know. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. I can be pretty annoying. I'm afraid of the dark. I love traveling. I don't drive for my own reasons, I never want to, and it makes me angry when people tell me to learn or act like there's something wrong with me because I don't. I have both OCD (my magic number's 4) and OCPD. I'm a perfectionist. When I'm depressed, I keep it to myself because I don't like dragging the mood of a room down. I'm an obsessive collector of far too many things. Nothing makes me feel warmer and fuzzier than making someone smile or laugh. :: click to zoom in on my visitor map or make your own :: "The animals of the world exist for their own reasons.
