Michael Woods joined the U.S. Postal Service in May 2005. Reporting to the national manger of Public Relations, he is responsible for national media outreach, developing messages on key Postal Service issues, and promoting products and services through broadcast and print opportunities. Prior to joining the Postal Service in 2005, Woods was an account executive in the marketing and communications department of the American Advertising Federation, the “unifying voice for advertising.” In this role, he managed corporate membership accounts of Fortune 500 advertisers and oversaw the “Great Brands” public relations campaign to validate advertising’s role in building brands. Woods is a James Monroe scholar from the College of William and Mary and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. He is currently pursuing an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
