Jim Cusson has worked on the strategy and client services side of the advertising and marketing design business for most of his career. In 2001 Cusson, along with partner, Leslie Kraemer, founded birdsong gregory visual communications. They sought to make birdsong gregory a "best of breed" shop where they combined the most successful elements from their previous experiences under one roof.

birdsong gregory is a boutique design studio in Charlotte, NC. Some of its clients view birdsong gregory as a full-service advertising agency, while others consider the firm for specialty products like annual reports or corporate collateral. Cusson says they provide accesss, not layers and results, not excuses.
