Ian Thal is an actor, mime, performance artist, poet, and puppeteer based in the Boston metropolitan area. He co-founded the mime and poetry troupe Cosmic Spelunker Theatre with James Van Looy (from whom he studied mime) and has worked with Bread & Puppet, and i Sebastiani "The Greatest Commedia dell'Arte Troupe in the Entire World," has acted in a number of independent films, and will be performing in "Macbeth" this summer . His poetry has been published in a number of anthologies and literary journals, and he is currently revising his first full-length play.

He teaches mime and commedia dell'arte as a youth circus instructor and is currently studying ballet and kathak dance.
