Hooten Gray Bean Davis Fasion Family Reunion's Blurbs Theme: There’s No Place Like Home, Remembering Our Past, Building Our Future Dear Family Members and Friends: Time has certainly flown by! It is the holiday season and the year 2008 is fast approaching! Your reunion committee is excited to host the 2008 Hooten/Gray/Bean/Davis/Faison (HGBDF) Reunion in Troy, Alabama. We are busy planning for a weekend full of family fellowship, fun and entertainment. It seems as if it were only a few years ago that the first official HGBDF reunion was held at the Rock Building in Troy, Alabama. Since that time, we have developed life-long relationships and have transformed ourselves into a more closely knit family that extends across the continental United States. Our shared experiences from that first reunion have molded us and prepared us for the reunions we continue to enjoy to this day. It is not very difficult to remember reunions held in Troy, Birmingham, Atlanta, Washington DC, New York, Gatlinburg, Florida, and the 2007 Family Cruise. Those wonderful reunions helped to nurture and develop a special bond between our immediate families, our extended families, and our closest friends. Our roots are in Alabama, but our branches spread far and wide. Michael Chricton stated, ..If you don..t know your family..s history, then you don..t know anything. You are a leaf that doesn't know it is part of a tree... Let us continue to embrace our history and tradition as a strong family. Let us rejoice in the knowledge that even though we have had many trials and tribulations to overcome – and there have been many – we have stood strong as a family that loves, cares, and prays for each other. ..In times of test – family is best!.. As you know, 2008 will mark our 20th HGBDF Family Reunion! We want you to celebrate this unique experience with us and make this a reunion to talk about for years to come! We are planning a full weekend [June 27 – 29, 2008] of activities that will begin on Friday and end late Sunday afternoon.
