.. .. Samantha Anderson grew up in your average middle-class family - if you qualify moving every six months as normal. Her father was a member of the Marine Corps and frequently got transfered from base to base, thus forcing his family to move. Her mother was a nurse, which is probably where Sam got the love of medicine. When Sam was fourteen, her mother got very sick with a rare form of cancer - by the time Sam was 17, her mother passed away from the disease. She graduated from high school, went to college, and later got her medical degree from Johns Hopkins. For the past few years, she has been a staff member of Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital, and the immunology/oncology unit.
