Lessee.... Middle-aged divorced guy with a background in game design and book retail. ...hmm.... Spent a lot of my 20s and 30s in and around Fandom-- SF, Fantasy, Comic Books, Role Playing Games. Actually managed to make a few thousand selling my artwork at SF cons but I haven't been doing that much lately. ...okay, more.... Through a freak set of circumstances I ended up having a short career as a Role Playing Game desginer for TSR. My first book, The Ultimate Powers Book, ended up taking on a life of its own, inspiring websites and arguments and 2400+ Google links. ...sigh... The past few years my main creative outlet has been photography. I work wih my trusty 30-year-old Minolta 35mm SLR and a pair of Sanyo digital cmaeras. The photos were supposed to be references for paintings and artwork but soon became their own raison d'etre. I like to think I've done some good work. The problem of course is that if one is doing people photography, one needs people to photograph. Paintings, drawings-- the imagination can suffice if the skill is there to work around the absence of subject. With photography.... uh-uh.
