David Alexander Nunn was an American politician and a member of the United States House of Representatives for Tennessee's 8th congressional district. He was born near Brownsville, Tennessee in Haywood County on July 26, 1833. He attended private schools and the West Tennessee College at Jackson, Tennessee.
