- Responsible for managing six financial analyst’s in providing: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, external (German) reporting, internal reporting, business area reporting, and accounting and analysis of the following: bulk and cylinder inventory, cylinder and bulk distribution, air separation units, specialty gas, and cylinder operations. - Preparation of financials for Regional presentations to the Board of Directors to establish budget, growth, and other management targets. This information was also used to give guidance to the financial markets (and Linde Stockholders) future earning expectations. - Main contact for business areas for the following areas: sales performance management (achieved 10% compounded annual growth for 3 years), profitability analysis, compensation management, improving inventory utilization, and to improve asset allocation and utilization. - Nominated for the team that migrated Holox (130 million company with 60+ locations) on an Enterprise Resource Program change (JD Edwards to SAP). Implemented activity-based-costing (ABC Costing), and CO-PA profitability analysis (customer / product / site level profitability). - Maintained the Bulk Inventory for 160+ locations in SAP ensuring: no doubled up goods receipts, production reporting was being done correctly, review / adjust loss rates, verifying no major unexplainable losses due to equipment. - Main point of contact for Specialty gas to provide Business Analysis with: financial statement review, budget variance analysis, forecast end of year results, prepare financial presentations to be given to President of the region, evaluate potential projects ROI and payback periods, and help prioritize projects. - Monthly responsibility of ensuring CO-PA (profitability analysis) accuracy in: tying balances to the general ledger, true up standards by allocating variances, calculate new standards as needed, keep management informed of major variances.
