For over 20 years I worked at Alcan Cable, where I held several positions, the last being Senior Marketing Analyst. In my career with Alcan, I was responsible for training and educational programs and I thoroughly enjoyed this dimension of my responsibilities. Professional growth through education has always been important to me, as I have demonstrated in my efforts to earn two degrees while working full time. I consider myself an innovative person, who has applied her expertise in the areas of training, problem solving, business analysis, and communication in the business world. I have a track record of achievements and assuming roles with increasing responsibilities in the area of marketing, sales, and customer service. In the fall of 2002 I made a transition into the field of education by accepting an adjunct faculty position at Brenau University. I have now accepted and completed teaching assignments in both the Women’s College, Evening, and Weekend Programs. During the summer of 2007, I accepted a temporary position at Brenau advising students for the fall semester. For the past several years I have also been a substitute teacher for Gwinnett County Public Schools. I have taught at several schools, although most of my assignments were at Harmony Elementary School. My goal is to acquire a position in the areas of teaching, tutoring, student development, or customer service in a college, university, or school district.
