Encompass Healthcare Affiliates, LLC began as an Group Anesthesia Management company in December 2006. Owner and CEO, Brandon Johnson, worked in the medical staffing industry for 3 years as a recruiter and Marketer and was asked to begin a group division for a competing company. After 6 months of gather information and learning the group business his company felt that it was not built to handle the types of services necessary to manage group practices and did not understand the full spectrum of services for which the group side of the business was demanding. After hearing the news of the division being eliminated Brandon was asked to turn his Marketing efforts to a locum team. Brandon had spent too many hours making phone calls and too many hours researching how to structure the groups to let his efforts go to the waste side. He decided to ask the owners of his company if they would allow him to be released from his non-compete contract and begin his own company and continue pursuing group contracts. Encompass Healthcare Affiliates, LLC was born. Brandon continued to make phone calls and gathered several hospitals in need of group services when he earned his first contract in February 2007. Growing relationships and pursuing new business Encompass Healthcare grew quickly and now owns and manages 3 group contracts with 3 more scheduled to be effective by the end of the year 2007. EHA was in need of a recruiting team to be able to meet the demands of all the providers needing to be placed. Beginning in June 2007, EHA made the decision to compliment group management with a locum division to grow exposure and working capital. EHA is projected to employee up to 23 more Anesthesia providers by end of the year 2007 with more great things to come as an Anesthesia Management company in 2008.
