Chicago, IL – October 12, 2006 – Centro, announced that Bill Sullivan has joined the company as Managing Director for Sales, for the Southeast Region. Mr. Sullivan, who departs Cox Enterprises as National Online Sales Manager, will be based in Atlanta and is expected to add a Miami office to Centro’s Atlanta southeast presence by the end of 2007. Mr. Sullivan brings more than 13 years of sales in the interactive, newspaper, magazine and travel industries to Centro. In 2001, he teamed up with entrepreneur Steve Sims to build BlueFish Concierge into a player within the luxury travel space. Sullivan was also a founding shareholder of Expedia.com. While at Cox, Mr. Sullivan oversaw all coordinated national sales efforts for Cox Newspapers, Cox TV, Cox Media, Cox Radio and Autotrader.com. Prior to entering the online world, Mr. Sullivan worked with Publicitas in Miami representing The Financial Times, the San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner, The Dallas Morning News and Travel & Leisure Golf magazine. He previously served as director for Softbank Content in San Francisco and began his career with American Express Publishing in Atlanta. “Its no secret that local publishers have always made it difficult for national and regional advertisers to buy anything local whether it print, broadcast, spot – it’s one reason you see so many media planners missing hair,” said Mr. Sullivan. “Centro’s unique model to plan and buy all things local online in any market with complete objectivity and no publisher-specific agenda has agencies and advertisers clamoring for more. The company has invested more than five years, working closely with all major agencies and publishers to perfect a seamless solution for national, regional or market specific campaigns. I am completely excited to be a part of the paradigm shift happening in the local online channel and look forward to introducing Centro to the Southeast, Caribbean and Latin America.”
